A short & sweet update

Blog - Meta

It’s been a few months … a little bit longer than I’d like to admit since I’ve updated my blog. This summer was eventful and it was a lot for me to handle just living it, let alone writing about it.

A few key personal events included moving, buying and assembling furniture for the new place, and getting a dog—all big life changes. Things at work were also fairly intense. The training tool that I work on, WalkMe, went live to all of our users, so the three day release cadence was extra stressful for me. It seems like this is the first time in the last six months or more that I’ve been able to breathe.

Luckily, dear readers, it looks like I finally have a handle on my life, and I have plenty to write about. Some things that are slated for blog post glory in the very near future:

  • Nugget’s adoption story
  • Nugget’s DNA results
  • Projects I’ve been working on
    • freecodecamp.org
    • custom WordPress theme
    • knitting
    • novel
  • This year in review
  • Goals for next year

I really like this time of year, not only because of the holidays, but because the new year is fast approaching. I love setting goals, making plans, and having that clean slate. I expect that writing will be a big focus. I think my theme for 2018 will be to simplify. Now that I’m a fledgling adult, there’s a lot of gears turning in my life and I’d like to take out all the unnecessary stress. Anyway. That’s been the haps, and fear not, you’ll hear all about it soon.
